Press Release - TuneRanger Network Sync for iTunes Now Available

Friday, July 20th, 2007

iTunes users with copies of their music and video collections on multiple computers can now keep them synchronized via any network - even across OS platforms.

Miami, Florida – Thursday, July 20, 2007 – Acertant Technologies announced today that TuneRanger™ for Mac OS X and Windows platforms is now available for free trial and purchase at: www.acertant.com.

TuneRanger connects iTunes-running computers over a network, allowing music, video, and playlists to be copied from one iTunes library to another seamlessly. TuneRanger even works across platforms letting iTunes libraries on Windows communicate and sync with iTunes libraries on Mac OS X or any combination.

Within a typical home network all computers running iTunes and TuneRanger discover each other automatically. Users can then choose one of six default copy and synchronization methods and begin transferring files and playlists immediately. The results are reflected in iTunes right away, with all files and playlists where they should be, ready to be played or moved to any iPod or iPhone.

“Most users keep their iTunes music and video collection on more than one computer at a time,” said Jorge Miranda, Acertant’s CTO and co-founder, “These can include a home computer, a laptop, a PC at work and even computers for spouses and kids. Until now there was no easy way to keep all these iTunes libraries in ‘sync.’ This is important because you can buy songs or rip CDs on any of these systems and then you have to remember to copy the files and add them to each iTunes by hand. It’s even harder for playlists. Now with TuneRanger it’s a simple one click affair.”

TuneRanger offers true synchronization. It compares songs and videos on all computers and only moves what has changed. It even does this for playlists. Not only will it copy playlists from one iTunes to another it will even synchronize the contents of all or selected playlists. Power users will be pleased with TuneRanger’s more advanced sync settings and its ability to perform direct iPod synchronization - including iPod to iTunes transfers.

TuneRanger includes tools to keep iTunes and iPods in shape. These include: an automated duplicate manager, an orphan file remover, tools to remove unlicensed songs, add or remove disconnected files, and a utility to copy album art from the iTunes database to the actual music files.

Price and Availability

TuneRanger is available now for only $29.99 – 40% off regular price. This includes a standard five (5) client license (one platform) to match Apple’s five computers per AppleID license.

At the conclusion of TuneRanger’s public beta period the price will return to the regular $49.99.
